Indonesia, as a palm oil producer in the world, can produce biodiesel using palm oil as raw material. Biodiesel production is increasing every year due to the need for alternative fuels to replace fossil fuels. In this study, biodiesel production in Indonesia from Crude Palm Oil (CPO) as raw material was studied and its sensitivity to the influence of raw material and biodiesel prices was analyzed. Based on research, it was known that high CPO prices and low biodiesel prices result in biodiesel production factories experiencing losses. The increase in CPO prices in Indonesia can be caused by several factors, including climate change which disrupts CPO productivity, increased demand for CPO, increased production of other vegetable oils, Indonesian government policies towards CPO, global geopolitical influences and economic changes. Apart from that, the increase in biodiesel prices can be caused by several factors, including the increase in CPO prices, increased demand for biodiesel, and the Indonesian government's policy regarding B35. The profits of a palm oil biodiesel factory depend on CPO price. The increase in biodiesel prices as a result of B35 policy requires support such as evaluating market acceptance of biodiesel and adequate facilities to support B35 implementation. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
