The temperature of human body is one of the most important vital markers. It is due to its ability to detect various diseases early. Now the development of human body temperature sensors is getting faster and more sophisticated. In this research paper, the successful fabrication of copper interdigitated electrodes with graphite-epoxy coating as a human body temperature sensor is reported. The electrodes were printed with a 0.45 mm gap using the wet etching method. The graphite-epoxy layer was measured and observed. On the images, the graphite-epoxy layer appeared smooth and homogeneous. Based on results of the contact angle testing, the graphite-epoxy layer has slightly hydrophilic properties. The sensor also has been tested with temperature variations between 30 ℃ and 50 ℃. The sensitivity (α) and repeatability (β) of the sensor were found to be 5.98%/K and 8577.87 K C. The changes in resistance of sensor were still readable up to 50 ℃. This sensor has the potential to become a human body temperature sensor due to quickly in response and adequate ability to sense skin temperatures. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.
