According to the National Disaster Management Agency in 2019, Sumedang province, specifically Pase District, is one of the areas with a medium risk of landslides. A landslide is a ground movement caused by heavy rainfall or steep topographical conditions that causes soil and rock to move violently. Since high rainfall intensity makes the soil structure less dense and creates fragile zones, it is necessary to survey to identify fragile zones in the study area near the Sumedang-Cirebon National Highway. The vulnerable zone can be identified by 2D subsurface modeling using the Wenner-Schlumberger geoelectric resistivity method. Geoelectric methods are helpful for use in identifying vulnerable zone. As a result of the investigation, low resistivity of less than 20 ωm was identified as sand tuff, moderate resistivity of 21 to 55 ωm was identified as pumice tuff, and high resistivity of 55 ωm or more was identified as volcanic breccia. The presence of weak zones is identified by low resistance values of less than 20 ωm at depths of 2 to 50 meters. © 2024 Author(s).
