Abstract

Coronavirus Disease or Covid-19 is a respiratory tract infection caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Symptoms of someone affected by COVID-19 such as runny nose, cough, flu, inflammation, and disorders of the lung. In Indonesia, cases of COVID-19 are increasing every day. Many Indonesians do not want to follow health protocols so that the transmission of COVID-19 is getting higher. Due to the COVID-19 virus, the number of deaths and confirmed cases of the virus varies from region to region. Zone grouping based on the number of deaths and confirmed cases of the Covid-19 virus can use data mining techniques with the K-Means method. The data used is taken from Instagram Bappeda Lampung. The results of calculations using the k-means method are divided into 4 clusters, namely zone 0, zone 1, zone 2, zone 3. Zone 0, zone 1 consists of 37 data zone 2 consists of 25 data. data, and zone 2 consists of 3 data at most, namely 43 data. The number of deaths in each zone also varies. zone 2 is the zone with the highest number of deaths, followed by zone 3, zone 1, and zone 0 which has the lowest number of deaths among other zones. While the highest number of confirmed patients infected with Covid-19 was in zone 2, then there was zone 1 with the second-highest number of confirmations, then zone 3, and finally zone 0 with the lowest number of confirmations. © 2023 American Institute of Physics Inc..
